Trusting God Instead Of Yourself

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).”

Do you have to be in control and have everything figured out?

It is this controlling attitude that gets women in trouble. God’s plan of faith is that we rely on Him and not our own insight. Sometimes, we talk faith while trying to make sure we have everything figured out with life. This is not what God had in mind when he asked for us to trust Him with all our heart. Trusting is putting aside your ideas for God’s ideas.

Can you trust God, today? Can you lay aside all your earthly knowledge and trust God with all your heart fully believing His Word of truth.

Practice this prayer. “God, I am trying to understand what is going on in my life. I have some ideas about what should be done. However, I have decided to trust you, so that is what I am going to do. I give you this, and I am going to trust that you are good and faithful.”

Trust God today and do not trust your own understanding.

“So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:4).”
